This is definitely a custom fit for my 2014 Mazda 5. It came with detailed instructions, with photos, for exactly how to mount this under my van. It took about twice as long as the estimated 90 minutes, mostly due to the amount of chassis grinding you have to do in order to widen the existing mounting holes. A Dremmel is just not going to do this as fast as the recommended die grinder. Fishing the bolts in went bad a couple of times, despite the ingenious cable provided. There is no way, however, that a pro could do this in 45 minutes. The instructions for cutting the factory heat shield were a little confusing and I ended up wasting a piece that was supposed to stay on. However, if done properly, the cut would have left a very delicate sliver of shielding that likely would have fallen off anyway. Once mounted, I didn't see any areas exposed to exhaust heat that looked delicate in any way. This has an amazing price considering it's a custom unit with specific instructions for each vehicle model. This is the second CURT unit I have installed. The first was on a Scion Xa which is a tiny car! That installation was even easier than this one.
