Description
The Anvil reducing tee is a class 150 malleable iron pipe fitting with female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting and branching three pipes of different sizes. This tee has NPT threads on all three ends for creating tighter seals than straight threads. It is made of malleable iron, which has high tensile strength, and has a black finish that resists rust in oil and gas applications. This class 150 fitting meets standards ASTM A-197, ASME B 1.20.1, and ASME B 16.3 for quality assurance. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure.Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. I ordered another for my gas line reworkI used this to branch off a fire place @ 3/4 from a tankless water heater line @ 1 1/4I needed a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 3/4" reducing Tee and was having trouble finding one locally and this fitting is exactly what I needed. The quality is good and if you are having trouble finding this fitting, it will fit your need exactly.Exactly what I needed to upgrade to a tankless water heater. If you have the fitting in hand with 1 inch port at the top, the 3/4 port is at the bottom and the 1/2 inch port is on the side.The picture is generic to all sizes of the product. I had to return the item and then seek out a local source. Go online first and learn the way that Tee's are sized.Remember! Tee fittings are labeled as 'Run x Run x Branch'.These are well made parts, and there is an excellent variety here that rivals any hardware store. I ordered a couple of these reducing tees which meant that I needed fewer total fittings in my system. That's fewer joints to make up, fewer pipe threads to cut and fewer joints to possibly leak. Highly recommended.Shipped fast.A truly excellent piece of pipe. It was made from the best iron money can buy and the threads seem to be tapped in the correct holes. I note that the sizes of the holes are correct and in the correct places as determined by American standards.
