Concrete masonry screw anchors attaches wood or metal to concrete, brick, cement block or masonry. Perfect for home projects for installing door sweeps into concrete foundations, decking boards onto cement flooring, and hanging anything against brick walls. The product material is composed of carbon steel and finished with a ceramic coating for increased corrosion resistance. All our concrete screw anchors come in two (2) head styles: slotted hex washer head and phillips flat head. The Slotted Hex Washer Head can be installed using either a flat head screw driver or bit as well as hex drive nutsetters. Go with the Hex Washer Head when you need increased holding power. The Phillips Flat Head can be installed with a Phillips screw driver or bit. Use the Flat Head style when the application needs to have a flush finish with the surface being drilled into. Installation: Pre-drill hole a minimum of 1/4” deeper than concrete screw to be embedded with a carbide masonry drill bit. Use a standard screw gun set at a maximum of 2500 RPM drive speed recommended. Use a 1/4” drill bit for a 3/16 diameter screw and a 5/16" drill bit for a 1/4 diameter screw. Fastener is properly installed when head sits flush with the work surface. Do not over torque as it can cause the head to snap or stripping of the recess. Installed fasteners must be embedded into concrete, brick, cement block or masonry a minimum of 1”.
