This tool is amazing - recommending to all my friends. Can't do without these! Especially the metal one, although it can leave scratches on cardboard. I use with a heat gun, and the plastic ones soften and the edges get blunt from the heat. If using only water or solvent they are good to.I hate leaving labels on items I purchase and want to remove identifying labels from items I'm throwing out/recycling.Although I have long finger nails, I have a hard time getting labels to peel up easily. This little gadget is the greatest! I don't know how it works but once I get the end under the smallest corner of a label, the label comes up in one piece! We've used them to remove labels from cardboard boxes, padded envelopes, and prescription bottles - didn't even need the metal one to remove the label from the prescription bottle. These little peeler tools are the greatest!Let me preface this with a little backstory- I had been looking for a product like this ever since I witnessed a car salesman use one to immaculately lift a giant price sticker off the van we purchased YEARS ago...9-year-old me was stupefied...well a decade and a half later nary will I search again! This product is absolutely a DREAM to lift and remove all kinds of annoying stickers / glues and when combined with Goo Gone, adhesives everywhere will tremble! Save yourself the grief of coating all your DIY-ables with mineral oil as I once did, attempting to loosen the bond of sticky gooey messes, spare the glass you would have scratched with steak knives attempting to scrape off all the crud the bottling plants and manufacturers left on your products. Seriously, you deserve clean surfaces and no traces of how much you spent on that vase at TJ Maxx!!***This post was not sponsored by this company or Amazon, I'm just enthusiastic, bored in quarantine, and a writer.Great product, easy to use, saves fingertipsThere are some tools that are a must have when running a used book business. If you are currently scraping stickers off with your nails...stop. This will take off those tough stickers and random gunk that just won't peek off. I don't even bother trying to peel a sticker off anymore. Be careful when using this on paperpacks as it can easily tear the actual book since it's so share. This is the tool you didn't know you needed. I have acrylic nails and can not peel up even the edge of a sticker. I'm also merchandiser so it's kind of necessary for the job. A colleague happened to have one of these and loaned I to me. I went right home after work and ordered own. Even if I quit job I will still use this around my house for repurposing jars and suchYou might be thinking to yourself, "Oh, I can peel (insert sticker/label) easily." WRONG. This Scotty Peeler is GREAT at what it does and makes working with labels and items hassle-free. It also comes with a protective instrument that prevents the user and/or children from getting injured as the thing is SHARP. I love it, and will purchase another when mine becomes dull. 10/10
